Karen "KB Buckingham

Since 1982, Karen Buckingham, fondly known as “KB” in the real estate market, has worked with some of the top commercial real estate companies of Colorado Springs. For 18 years KB assisted the treasurer and secretary of the Realtors Commercial Industrial Society (RCIS) and has come to know most of the commercial brokers in the city.

Although KB enjoyed working with real estate brokers, she moved over to the property management side of the business. She gets great satisfaction in helping families find new homes and working with vendors to ensure the owner’s homes stay in good condition.

When not working or spending time with family and friends, KB likes to volunteer. She volunteers at Minneapolis' American Red Cross, a program set up for high school students to become blue stripers for nursing homes. The blue stripers visit and interact with the elderly in the nursing homes. KB investigated and approved the nursing homes, and trained the students. She has also volunteered at the Marion House Soup Kitchen; Toys for Tots; Urban Peak, a shelter for homeless teens; and was secretary on her church's board and works at their bookstore.

KB grew up in the Midwest, graduated from Roosevelt High School in Des Moines, Iowa and attended Drake University. While married KB was a military wife, living in the United States and Germany. She has two grown, married sons and one granddaughter; they are the loves of her life.
